25 tourists stranded in snowy Troodos after their bus got stuck
A bus carrying 25 tourists got stuck in snow in Troodos, south Cyprus, leaving all stranded on Tuesday afternoon.
The tourists were later rescued by police at about 1:00pm before heading back to Limassol.
In a message on Twitter, the Greek Cypriot police said they were assisting a bus with about 25 passengers that was stranded because of the bad weather conditions.
A number of roads in the mountains are closed or open only to vehicles with four wheel drive or equipped with snow chains.
