Two minor earthquakes felt in Limassol, south Cyprus
Two minor earthquakes were felt early Sunday morning in Limassol, south Cyprus, the geological survey department said.
The first one, a 3.6 magnitude, was recorded at 3.30am and was felt in the wider area of Limassol.
According to an announcement by the Cyprus Department of Geological Survey, the earthquake was centered in the area of Ayios Athanasios at a focal depth of three kilometres.
Five minutes later, a second, 3.1 magnitude earthquake, was recorded
with the same epicentre and focal depth. No damage was recorded.
The phenomenon is being monitored by the seismology centre of the department.
