Two female teachers jailed for sleeping with students
Two female teachers have been jailed for sleeping with numerous students after being busted by North Carolina police in the United States.
The teachers, Rebecca Swinson, 39, and Jennifer Pike, 44, admitted having engaged in sex with numerous students.
Swindon, a former English teacher at East Forsyth High School of 15 years, pleaded guilty to three counts of sex acts with a student and 16 counts of taking indecent liberties with a student.
The court heard on Wednesday that Swinson had sex with two 17 year olds during the autumn term, last year.
An alert was raised by a female pupil in July after she overheard one of her pals brag that he had sex with the educator.
Disgraced Swinson will now serve a six-month prison sentence.
Judge David Hall also slapped her with a total suspended sentence of a minimum of three years and three months.
Swinson will be placed on supervised probation for three years and six months after she is freed and will have to sign on as a sex offender for 30 years.
Pike – who worked as a volunteer at the same Kernersville school – pleaded guilty to two counts of crimes against nature.
Pike had been charged with four counts of sex acts with a student and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a student.
Those charges were dropped as part of her plea.
She will serve a suspended sentence of six months to 17 months and will be on supervised probation for three years.
