Trump walks out on Argentina's president in the lurch (video)

Argentina’s president was left bewildered after US Donald Trump left him in the lurch on stage and mumbled something off-camera, apparently not knowing his mic was on.

Trump created an awkward moment at the G20 summit after he walked offstage during what was supposed to be a group photo opportunity.

In footage captured during this weekend’s summit in Argentina, Trump can be seen strolling up to Argentinian President Mauricio Macri, briefly taking his hand, and then ambling off the stage.

A confused Macri gestures for Trump to come back before an aide chases after the US president to get his attention.

The two leaders were meant to stay on stage for a big group photo with the other world leaders.

While he was off-camera, Trump was recorded saying “Get me out of here”, presumably to the aide who chased him down.

It’s not the first time Trump has seemed a little lost in front of the cameras.

During a press conference in Israel last year, he made headlines during a photo-op gaffe with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Footage showed Trump standing up and walking in the other direction as Netanyahu reached out to shake his hand in front of the cameras.

A few months later, he missed the motorcade waiting for him as he got off Air Force One and returned home.

In the footage, Trump moves straight past the vehicle — seemingly walking towards nowhere — before an aide pulled him back.
