Manchester United want Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is Manchester United's first choice to replace Jose Mourinho.

According to a report by The Sun, Manchester United are prepared to pay up to £40 million to bring Mauricio Pochettino to Old Trafford from Tottenham Hotspur. 

United also face a battle with Real Madrid to bring in Pochettino but the Premier League club are reportedly confident that they can persuade the 46-year-old to join them over the reigning European champions. 

The report also says that as far as United are concerned Pochettino is the only candidate to replace Jose Mourinho. 

*If United do decide to dispense with Mourinho,  then Pochettino does seem like the obvious selection. Pochettino has worked wonders with Spurs and plenty of people want to see him get a chance with a bigger club. Whether that comes with Spurs backing him in the transfer market or with Man Utd Pochettino has certainly earned that opportunity.
