Man threatened to kill and bury his ex- wife in Lefkosa

A man was arrested over the weekend for threatening to kill and bury his ex wife.

The man identified as Eşref Erensu, reportedly went mad when he saw his ex-wife in the tavern and threatened to kill her.

Esref Erensu did not allow his ex-wife to go out at night and threatened to kill and bury her while being entertained on Saturday night in the tavern.

He was arrested on Sunday morning.

He was given a one day detention order by a court in Lefkosa pending investigation.

*Violence against women is becoming so rampant in the country and something should be done about it as soon as possible.
