Visitors to North Cyprus increase in 2018
The number of visitors to north Cyprus rose to around 1.4m in the first
nine months of the year, a 3.5 per cent annual rise.
According to the report by Turkish Cypriot media, Kibris on Tuesday, the figures concern people who travel to the north either by air directly or by ship.
The majority of visitors, 77.4 per cent, are Turkish nationals whose numbers showed a five per cent rise.
Other nationalities have dropped 1.5 per cent.
A significant rise was seen in visitors from Australia, 138.5 per cent, while visits from Fins rose 114 per cent.
Almost all visitors, or 95 per cent, arrive by plane.
