Two Palestinians arrested for trying to cross into Southern Cyprus illegally
Two Palestinian nationals who tried to crossed into Southern Cyprus illegally were arrested while trying to enter the Beyarmudu border crossing.
The two men reportedly tried to cross the border into Southern Cyprus in the Akincilar region at two different dates.
The two men, Ala AA Abuswish and Mohammed MJ Hijjo were arrested on Tuesday and taken to a court in Lefkosa.
According to police report, Ala AA Abuswish'un had tried to over the border on March 13, 2018 in an unidentified vehicle in Akıncılar while Mohammed MJ Hijjo'nun had tried to cross the border on October 26 at the same Akıncılar region.
They gave a voluntary statement and pleaded guilty.
