Students arrested for attack on group commemorating the death of Atatürk

A group of students were arrested at the Near East University for attacking another group of students who gathered to commemorate the death of Atatürk.

The incident happened on Saturday November, 10 at the Near East University in Lefkosa.

The group had approached the other group in their vehicle and demanded that they take down the flag on the car or they set it on fire.

If you do not download this flag, you, too, we'll burn the car, they threatened with violence.

The police are still looking for several others involved in the fight.

Those arrested were taken to a Lefkosa court on accusation of creating an unlawful community and threatening to use violence.
