Shoppers urged to take caution after banned meat seized in Ozanköy
Shoppers in North Cyprus have been urged to take caution
when buying meat, after suspected smuggled stocks belonging to a butcher in Ozanköy was seized and was banned from selling processed goods such as sausages.
Consumers’ Association head Hasan Yılmaz Işık warned of burgeoning sales
of meat brought into the country illegally, which he claimed were both
expensive and could pose a threat to health.
