The US has been ranked as the most powerful nation in the world, in an annual poll by the US News & World Report, ahead of Russia and China.

Not surprisingly, the United States, took first place as the most powerful nation, with Russia, the world’s largest country by landmass, ranked second most powerful nation while China is in third.

Germany follows in fourth and the United Kingdom in fifth was closely followed by France, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The study also explained:
To determine the strongest nations, the study looked at 5 categories: the leader of the country, how economically influential it is, how politically influential is, strong alliances internationally, and strong military alliances.
