Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Russian president, Vladimir Putin high-five each other at G20 summit
Saudi Crown Prince and Vladimir Putin, who have both been accused of
planning murders, high-fived like blood brothers at the G20 meetings in
Argentina on Friday.
The Saudis have denied that he had anything to do with the murder.
Grinning from ear to ear, Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Russian President Vladimir Putin
exchanged a hearty high-five and handshake at the G20 summit in
Argentina.
The New York Post reports
that the Saudi strongman and his Russian counterpart — who’ve each been
accused of having political enemies assassinated — clasped hands, with
Salman repeatedly patting Putin’s right hand with his left as they
exchanged greetings and laughed.
At one point, US president, Donald Trump can be seen walking behind the two leaders, paying them no attention.
Trump has also faced criticism for his continued defence of the
crown prince in light of the CIA’s conclusion that he had ordered the
murder of critic Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in
October.
Salman talked with world leaders as accusations swirled about the
gruesome killing of Khashoggi, who was tortured before he died.
