Police chase two people in Terminal, fires shot

Two people were arrested in the Terminal area in Lefkosa on Thursday morning for attempting to sell a jewelry in their possession.

The two people is believed to be in possession of a stolen jewerly were given a chase in the area.

According to report by Yeniduzen, police fired two shots as the they fled the area. 

According to initial information by police, two men were arrested in suspicion of possessing stolen jewellery, and no injuries were incurred. 

Police believe the men were attempting to sell the stolen jewellery to a nearby jewellers shop.

The incident took place opposite the City Royal Hotel at 9.30am, when police officers fired two shots to deter the men.

The two people were arrested and detained. A gold jewelry was seized from them.
