Fuel prices in North Cyprus drop by 40 kuruş

The price of fuel in North Cyprus has been dropped by 40 kuruş following a Council of Ministers decision on Wednesday. 

According to TRNC Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay, the decrease applies to prices of 95 and 98-octane, Euro-diesel and Paraffin and was implemented at midnight on Wednesday.

We will continue with these kinds of reductions when the opportunities arise, said Mr Özersay.

He added that they have prepared some drafts for actions to economically relieve the public and these have been presented to the Attorney General.

Once we have the approval we will share the decisions with public in due course, he said.

The statement came after a three-and-a-half hour Council of Ministers meeting.

The cost of a litre of 95-octane petrol was cut from 5.61TL to 5.21TL, 98-octane from 5.71TL to 5.31TL, Euro Diesel from 5.55TL to 5.15TL and paraffin from 5.46TL to 5.06TL.
