British tourist remanded for throwing plates on waitress

Greek Cypriot police on Monday arrested a 23-year-old British tourist after she allegedly threw plates on a hotel waitress.

According to report by Greek Cypriot daily, philenews, the 23-year-old woman was angered after a 42-year-old waitress told her that she cannot transfer plates with food, outside the restaurant area of the hotel.

She then started throwing plates at her, injuring her on the lips and face. The waitress also had one of her teeth broken.

The waitress informed the police which went to the scene and arrested the 23-year-old woman.

She was remanded for one day by Paphos District Court on Monday.

She is facing charges of causing serious physical injury to the waitress.
