Another man tried to kill his wife in Girne

A man who threatened to kill his wife with a knife has been arrested and detained in Girne.

According to police report, the man identified as Kazım Çevik who is in the middle of a divorce with his estranged wife and despite being warned repeatedly by the police went to her house, forcefully gained entrance into the house and threatened to kill her.

Kazım Çevik, got into an argument with his wife and threatened to kill her in from of his mother in-law by showing her a knife and saying yardım I will kill you ine.

At the time of the incident, he was under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested following the incident on Friday and taken to a Girne court charges of “opening a house ',” threat of violence “, drunkenness and discomfort and carrying a knife unlawfully.

He was ordered to remain in detention for three days pending investigation.

This is coming less than two days after a man brutally stabbed and killed a woman in Gonyeli.
