Zim student falls from dormitory balcony in Haspolat

Just less than a week after a Ghanaian student fell from the third floor of an apartment building in Lefkosa while trying to enter his apartment through the window, another student has suffered the same fate and this time in Haspolat. 

A student was seriously injured after falling from a dormitory balcony in Haspolat on Sunday afternoon.

The student identified as Tanaka Darren Gerald, 22, fell from a height of 7 meter from the balcony of his dormitory in Haspolat at about 2:00pm on Sunday.

According to police report, Tanaka fell to the concrete floor of the apartment after losing his balance while trying to enter his friends balcony from his room balcony.

He was taken to the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa where he was receiving treatment. 

Police say his injury is not life threatening.
