Woman found dead in her apartment at the Lefkosa City center
The woman identified as Sadiye Erdal, 49 was found dead by residents of the area in front of her home at about 10:00am on Wednesday.
According to the deceased's elder sister, Sonay Erdal, Sadiye Erdal has been suffering from a heart illness.
Sadiye Erdal, lived alone in her house and had not been seen for 10 days. Her lifeless body had been decaying on the door floor of her apartment.
She reportedly suffered from cirrhosis.
Her sister said she had not been around for 10 days and when she opened her house door, she was faced with the dead body of Sadiye Erdal.
The police are investigating the matter.
An autopsy will be carried out to determine the true cause of her death.
