UN envoy to meet with Anastasiades and Akinci on Wednesday

The UN secretary-general’s envoy, Jane Holl Lute, will meet with the island’s two leaders on Wednesday as part of a fact-finding mission.

Lute will see President Nicos Anastasiades at 11.30 am and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci at 4 pm.

Lute will be on the island on the request of the UNSG, Antonio Guterres, to carry out another fact-finding mission on the willingness of the two sides to propose new ideas as part of an overall solution.
