Two supermarket staff arrested in south Cyprus for embezzling over €22,000

Two super market employees in Limassol, south Cyprus has been arrested for embezzling over €22,000 from their employer.

The two workers were remanded for eight days on Sunday by the district court on Sunday following their arraignment.

The woman aged 19 and 23, are accused of taking €22,167 between March and October this year.

Their boss reported the theft once he discovered that supermarket takings were missing. 

The women are facing charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft and money laundering.
