Two people arrested at Ercan for trying to travel with fake passport

A 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were arrested at the Ercan Airport in Lefkosa, north Cyprus while trying to check out with a fake French passport.

The woman identified as Dorcas Kunsendi Mumbata, who wanted to check out at the airport on Saturday October, 13 with a French passport was aided by Amos Mambaka Mbuyi.

Police investigation revealed that the woman had wanted to travel out of the country wit a passport belonging to another person. 

Police then carried out a search on the other suspect and found the woman's real passport in his bag.

They were arrested and taken to a court in Lefkosa where they were ordered to remain in detention for three days pending investigation.
