North Cyprus murder suspect arrested in south Cyprus

Greek Cypriot police on Thursday, arrested a 23 year old foreigner wanted in north Cyprus on suspicion of murdering a 54 year old Turkish Cypriot.

According to police report, the man was arrested on Thursday evening in Limassol on suspicion of illegal entry and residence in south Cyprus and premeditated murder.

The murder was committed in Iskele, north Cyprus at the end of September.

The suspect told police that he had crossed over to south Cyprus from the mountains, and not via a checkpoint.
