Murder in Gonyeli

A 45-year-old woman has been murdered in Gonyeli early Wednesday morning after she was stabbed several times by a man.

The victim, Gülbahar ULUTAN, 45 who works as a cleaner in a house located at Akgünler Street in Gönyeli was stabbed several times by an unidentified man in various parts of the body at about 10.30am on Wednesday morning.

She was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa but died one hour later despite medical intervention.

At the time of this report, the reason behind the stabbing would not be determined while the attacker escaped but the report say the attacker might be her ex lover.

Eye witness say the attacker have been spying on the apartment for a week before the attack.

Police have launched a manhunt for the killer.
