GAU hold 2018-2019 Academic Year, opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2018-2019 Academic Year of the Girne American University (GAU) with the theme of ı Sustainability Ün was held at the Spectrum Hall Convention Center of the university.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Zorlu Töre and the District Governor of Kyrenia Sinan Güneş, Turkish Republic Nicosia Embassy, ​​YÖDAK Representatives, academicians and students. The ceremony started with the reading of homage and the National Anthem.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Girne American University Rector Professor Doctor Sacred Ozturk said although economically difficult period affected the university, it has continued to improve itself.

GAU Vice Rector, Tülin Bodamyalı, advised the students to use their full potential in their educational life and beyond.

GAU Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Serhat Akpınar stated that he was proud to carry the educational torch burned of the university to different parts of the world.

Akpınar Medical Faculty will begin training soon, the faculty of health sciences morphology building and equipped with the latest technology laboratories, Faculty of Performing Arts will have new scenes and studios said.

After the concert of GAU International Students Choir, the opening ceremony was completed with a cocktail.
