Five people including three children injured in road accident

Five people including three children were injured in a road accident involving a car and a truck at Köprülü - İncirli road on Monday morning.

The accident happened at about 10:15am on Monday along the Köprülü-Incirli road when the driver of the car, 43, clashed into a truck coming in the opposite direction.

According to police report, the driver of the car reportedly lost control of the wheels close to a bend and veered out of his lane unto the other lane and clashed with the truck coming in the opposite direction.

Other passengers in the vehicle, a 39-year-old woman, a 5 and 14-year-old boy, and a 12, year-old girl were injured in the accident.

They were taken to a Famagusta State hospital for treatment.
