Father and uncle arrested in Lapta, north Cyprus for raping a child

Less than 24 hours after a man was arrested for raping his 17-year-old daughter in Alayköy, residence in Lapta were on Thursday thrown into confusion after two men, a father and uncle were arrested for raping a child since 2010.

According to police report, the man the girl's uncle were arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping the girl.

The Lapta police acted with the child's testimony, by first arresting the father and, then uncle.

It was learned that the father and his uncle did not refuse the accusations in the first statements.

They were brought before a Lapta court on Thursday.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Havadis, the young girl reported the incident to the police who acted quickly and arrested the accused.

According to her, her uncle and her father had been raping her since 2010 until this year.
