Driver loses control of vehicle on the Gazimağusa-Lefkoşa highway and rolled over

A Turkish Cypriot man was slightly injured in a road accident that happened at Güvercinlik junction on the Gazimağusa-Lefkoşa highway.

The accident occurred at about 4:30pm on Sunday.

The vehicle was heading towards Famagusta when the driver lost control and rolled over.

The driver of the car was taken in an ambulance to the Gazimagusa State Hospital for treatment.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Kibris, the driver of the vehicle had previously been punished for driving while high on alcohol and his driving license temporarily seized.
