Cyprus Weather Report: More scattered showers, dust and wind

Low pressure is continuing to affect the region and dust laden air will continue to make its presence felt in Cyprus.

According to a report by the Meteorology department, dust particles from the Middle East will continue to make its presence felt Cyprus until Thursday and warned citizens to take precautionary measures.

The department warned that the visibility range will decrease, air quality will drop and that muddy rain may pursue.

The department has also called for vulnerable groups to stay indoors as much as possible until the dust particles leave the area.

Meanwhile it also announced that local showers are expected until the 29th of October.

The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to very cloudy until Saturday with local showers and thunderstorms predicted for many areas.

The department also warned that gale force winds are expected on Thursday and Friday. 

Temperatures will be 28 C inland and on the coast and 18 C in the mountains.

Thursday will be cloudy at intervals and local rain is expected  and isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.

Friday will be mainly fine with increased cloud cover at times. Temperatures will remain at the same levels on Wednesday but on Thursday and Friday they will drop to slightly below average for the time of year.
