Cyprus Talks: Cyprus negotiations will not start just for the sake of conversation - Turkish FM

It is not meaningful to start the Cyprus negotiations just for the sake of conversation, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Speaking to members of the Turkish press to evaluate his New York, Çavuşoğlu said;

Our previous efforts failed to succeed. The last time was in Crans Montana. To start a new negotiation process we need to decide amongst ourselves what to negotiate and why to negotiate. The whole world and everyone witnessed that it is not meaningful to start negotiations just for the sake of conversation and we agree with them. We have expressed our opinion to the United Nations authorities.
