CIU MIS program gets 5 years FIBAA accreditations

The Management Information Systems program within the School of Applied Sciences of Cyprus International University (CIU) has been awarded 5 years accreditation by the FIBAA Accreditation Board. 

CIU added to its academic developments and once again registered its quality of education with this accreditation.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat, Head of the Department of Management Information Systems, said they are further registered with the accreditation they received and she stated that their international recognition has increased.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat stated that they started the accreditation process at the beginning of 2018 and experts from FIBAA examined the department in terms of academic qualification during the three-day inspection on the CIU campus.

Nat said that during the inspections, students and faculty members were interviewed face-to-face and she added that they presented self-evaluation reports requested by the accreditation board and the board members were very pleased.

Nat stated that accreditation is a long and demanding process and she said the program was accredited by the FIBAA for 5 years starting from September 2018 as a result of the evaluations.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Müesser Nat gave information about FIBAA, pointing out that the organization was founded in 1994 together with the Bologna Process and it is one of the most recognized accreditation bodies in Europe,created for quality assurance and development in higher education.
