Cesc Fabregas nets 2nd Guinness World record

World Cup winner, two-time Premier League champion and now a two-time Guinness Worldholder, Cesc Fabregas’ long list of achievements never fails to amaze even the biggest football fanatics.

The Chelsea midfielder added another honour to his already illustrious resume by earning a spot in the 2019 Guinness World Book of Records.

The 31-year-old proudly posed with his latest accolade after it became clear he entered the record book having become the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League assists in the shortest amount of time.

Fabregas managed the feat in just 293 matches, some 74 fewer appearances than the previous record holder, Ryan Giggs (367 matches).

I’m not the fastest, I’m not the strongest, I’m not the most flexible, I don’t jump high,’ Fabregas told GWR after receiving the honour.
But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job, because it is my job and I did it well.
The landmark assist came on 31December 2016 when the Spaniard helped his Chelsea teammate Willian to score their side’s second goal in a 4-2 win over Stoke at Stamford Bridge.
