Turkish Cypriot could be the next 007

A Turkish Cypriot could be the next 007 if British actor Idris Elba — who could be the first black James Bond — turns the role down. 

Edmonton-born Akın Gazi, who stars in Elba’s directing debut Yardie, said he would be up for the role in an interview on the red carpet of the film’s London last month.

Akın Gazi plays a Turkish gangster named “Arif” in the Haringey area of London’s Green Lanes in the British crime drama, which had its UK release on Friday.
