Robbery suspect hanged self in police custody in Girne

A 30-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of  being involved in a robbery incident in Girne was on Friday evening found dead in his cell at the Bosphorus Police Station.

According to police report, the suspect, Ahmet Sarıkılıç, 30 was found dead in the cell where he was detained between 6:20 to 6:25 on Friday.

The suspect was arrested early in the week in connection with a robber incident at a company in Girne.

A report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Havadis say the suspect hanged himself.
