Protests by livestock breeders and farmers continue on Thursday in Lefkosa as major roads blocked
A convoy of tractors on Wednesday lined the usual busy Lefkosa road from terminal and also gathered in front of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Speaking to several government officials on Wednesday, the president of the Cyprus Turkish Livestock producers and Breeders Association in a statement said the producer had reached the brink of bankruptcy
The president who criticized the price hikes said shop-owners and businesses have been raising prices while the government have been raising prices too and despite this the price of animal feed has gone up by 140%.
The protesters who failed to reach an agreement with government officials decided to continue with the protest on Thursday.
