Man caught with drugs at the border gate with south Cyprus

A man has been arrested for trying to smuggle drugs through the Lokmaci border gate with south Cyprus.

According to police report, the suspect identified only as A.S.T was found with three grams of drugs at the Lokmacı Border Gate on September, 26.

The suspect who was arrested on charges of importing and saving of illegal drugs was taken to the Lefkosa Court on Thursday morning.
 
Police said the suspect confessed to the crime.

The suspect was ordered to remain in police detention for one day for investigation to be carried out.
