Male body found in Kaplica sea, after police declared 18-year-old man missing

On Friday, we brought you a report about an 18-year-old boy who was declared missing by the Turkish Cypriot police after he failed to return home since Monday and on Saturday morning, his personal belongings and clothes were found at the bank of the sea between Mersinlik-Kaplica.

18-year-old Veysel Coskun was declared missing by the police on Friday after he failed to return home since Monday, September, 17.

According to police report on Saturday, some items including a cell phone and a T-short, were found at the bank of a sea between Mersinlik-Kaplica at about 11:00am by some men who came to fish in the area.

After a search by the police, a dead man's body was found about 1 km away from where the objects were found.

Police are yet to determine if the body belongs to missing Veysel COŞKUN.

A medical examination at the scene by forensic expert found no traces of beating, perforation, or gunshot wounds.

The body was taken to Lefkosa State Hospital morgue for autopsy.
