Kanye West changes name to Ye ahead of Yandhi release
US rapper, Kanye West who will be dropping his new album Yandhi in few hours, took to Twitter to announce that he has changed his name to Ye.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Kanye West wrote;
Kanye has other aliases including Yeezy, Yeezus, and now Yandhi, the name of his next album, which arrives tonight. The project is expected to include appearances from XXXTentacion, 6ix9ine, Ty Dolla $ign, and possibly Rihanna.
The rapper-turned-fashion-designer, who is slated to appear on the season premiere of “SNL” with host Adam Driver, is scheduled to release his new album “YANDHI” while on the variety program on Saturday night.
Kanye West stepped up to replace Ariana Grande on this week’s premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, after the singer canceled for “emotional reasons,” according to show creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels in an interview this week on James Andrew Miller’s Origins podcast.

“The being formally known as Kanye West,” he tweeted. “I am YE.”Well, it should also be noted that YE has been Kanye’s longtime nickname and was even the title of his latest seven-track album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in June.
