Female passenger arrested in Girne for stealing drivers mobile phone
A woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from a car she was in as a passenger in Girne.
The woman identified as Phan Thi Loan reportedly committed the crime on August 24 while sitting in the Nissan Sunny vehicle parked in a parking lot in front of Girne Amphitheater in Kyrenia.
Police said she stole a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone brand mobile phone worth 2,100 TL with a sim card inside belonging to the driver of the vehicle.
The suspect who was arrested on Saturday, September, 8 denied the accusation.
She was ordered by a Girne court to remain in police detention for three days pending investigation.
