Dog detect man with drug at Girne port

Man who was detected by a narcotic dog while entering the TRNC at the Girne port has been arrested with drugs.

Fikret Can,was detected by the narcotics dog while waiting at the entrance of the port to carry out immigration procedures on Friday.

Police said one gram of Hikkenevi type drug was seized in the search made on the suspect who was wearing the drug, in his sock.

He was taken to a court in Girne on Friday where he was ordered to remain in police detention for three days pending investigation.
