Cyprus Weather Report: Temps edge down, storms possible later in week
There will be some respite from the extreme hot weather of the past
few days with temperatures beginning to edge down as from Wednesday to
reach lower than average for the time of year on Friday and Saturday.
This will bring some relief as temperatures have been stuck at 40 C since Sunday.
According to the met office, Wednesday will be mainly fine. Temperatures inland will reach a maximum of 37 C inland, 31 C on the west coast 33 C on the remaining coasts and 29 C in the higher mountains.
Thursday will be mainly fine with localised increased clouds particularly in the west. Clouds will develop after noon mainly in the mountains, inland and northeast which may lead to isolated showers or storms.
On Friday and Saturday the weather will start off fine, but localised clouds in the afternoon are expected to lead to isolated showers and storms, mainly in the mountains and inland.
Temperatures will fall gradually to a little below average for the time of year.
