Cyprus Weather Report:: Hot weather warning
The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow weather alert warning the public to be cautious as temperatures is expected to go above the seasonal norms for 3 days until Wednesday.
According to the Met Office, the latest meteorological evaluation shows that the highest temperature is expected to be 4 to 6 degrees above the seasonal norms, and will be around 38 to 41 degrees in the interior, and 33 to 36 degrees in the mountains.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there will be increased cloud cover at intervals that may lead to isolated showers. There will be low cloud and light fog at night.
Temperatures will edge down gradually over the next few days to average for the time of year on Friday.
