Cost of living in the TRNC goes up by almost 9%

The cost of living in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus went up by 8.42 percent in August.

The Undersecretary of the State Planning Organisation announced the cost of living and inflation rates recorded in August.

According to the statement, a rise in the prices of 555 goods was recorded in August while a drop was recorded in 42 goods.

The highest price rise was recorded in the main group of Furniture, Home Appliances and Home Care Products.

The sharpest price drop was recorded in the main group of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.
