Cleaner arrested for stealing money kept by her boss
A Turkish woman who allegedly stole money from the house where she worked as a cleaner in the village of Yeniboğaziçi has been arrested.
Dilek Genoğlu was arrested on Sunday after she was accused of stealing 1,000 USD and 50 Euros from the house where she worked as a cleaner in the village of Yeniboğaziçi.
According to police report, the accused who has been living illegally in the country for one year stole the money from the house on Friday August, 31 between the hours of 12:10am and 9:30pm.
Police said she took the money kept in lockers in the bedroom of the apartment owner.
Police said the money were found in the suspect's purse on September, 1.
She was taken to a court in Gazimagusa and ordered to remain in detention for two days.
