Three Bulgarians arrested in Lefkosa for stealing monile phone from a boutique

Three Bulgarian nationals have been arrested for stealing a mobile phone after they were detected while passing through the Lokmaci border gate with south Cyprus.

The three Bulgarian nationals, Mariya Vagugeliva Stankova, 60, Rumen Yotov Yotov 22 and Pamela Yatava Lambova, 19 were arrested and detained on Thursday August 23 while passing through the Lokmaci Border Gate from south Cyprus to north Cyprus.

They were taken to a court in Lefkosa on charges of stealing and ordered to remain in police detention for 15 days.

According to police report, the three suspects had stolen the phone on August 4 from the counter of Desperado Boutique located at Lefkosa Wall Street.

One of the suspect Pamela Yatava Lambova had covered the phone worth 550 TL belonging to Mehmet Deveci with her clothes.

She then passed it to Rumen Yotov Yotov who in turn passed it to Mariya Vagugeliva Stankova.

Police said the incident was captured on camera following which the suspects were identified and arrested at the entrance of the Lokmaci Kara border Gate.
