Three Bangladesh workers in TRNC arrested for trying to cross over to south Cyprus illegally

Three Bangladesh nationals who were trying to crossover to south Cyprus illegally were arrested in Lefkosa Terminal.

The three Bangladeshi identified as Shamim Reza, Ziaur Rahaman and Jhangir Hossen Barr were arrested at Lefkosa, Terminal on Monday while trying to cross to Southern Cyprus illegally with the assistance of an unidentified person.

Police said they gave 500 TL and 100 Euro money to the person to help them cross to Southern Cyprus on 12 August.

Police said they were caught red-handed while the three suspects went to the Haspolat region and attempted to cross over to the South.

They were ordered to remain in police custody for three days in order for the investigation to be carried out.
