Student commits suicide in Lefkosa

A 20-year-old Mongolian student has reportedly taken his own life in his apartment located at Asmaalti Stree, in Lefkosa on Saturday.

According to police report, the victim identified as Ulziitegsh Dashtseren, 20, a Mongolian national, ended his own life in his apartment on Asmaalti Street in Lefkosa at about 1:30pm on Saturday.

Police said the victim was a student of the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Near East University.

They are currently carrying out inquiry into the death.
