Restaurant worker in Lefkosa jailed for stealing his boss money
Cengiz Cilindir was arrested on Monday on charges of hiding 4,500 TL in his cell phone, which he collected from customers.
According to police report, the suspect who works at Gomşu restaurant in Atatürk's street, Lefkosa was accused of lowering the money he received from customers between August 18-19.
He was arrested on the complaint of the business owner who said the accused failed to deliver all the money from sales during the period.
He confessed to the crime and was taken to a Lefkosa court.
He was granted bail with the sum of TL 10,000 on condition that he present a collateral which he failed to meet.
He is to remain in prison for not more than 30 days.
