Libyan national fled site of accident after crashing car into a gallery in Lefkosa
A Libyan national who drove his car into a gallery in Lefkosa and escaped afterwards have been arrested by the police.
The driver of the car who was in high speed reportedly lost control and crashed into a gallery in Lefkosa at about 4:40am on Sunday.
The car and the gallery was damaged in the accident.
The driver then abandoned his car and fled the scene.
The Traffic department of the Lefkosa Police Department, later detected the vehicle and then the driver about four hours later after an inquiry was initiated into the incidence.
Police identified the driver a Husameden Ali Hameeed Alhanashı, 34.
He told the police that he had escaped because he was afraid.
