Illegal meat seized by police in Cyprus, 4 arrested

About 1,490 pounds of veal and sheep meat smuggled from south Cyprus were seized and four people arrested by the police.

According to police report, the smuggled meats were brought into the country with out any import duty on Friday.

Those arrested in connection with the smuggling were identified as; F.K, 31, M.K, 31, H.K,26 and Y.T, 50.

Police said the 1490 kilos of various veal and sheep meat imported from Southern Cyprus is believed to be fake.

The four men were arrested and the meat seized.
