Girne American University, GAU fixed exchange rate for Turkish and Turkish Cypriot students
According to a report by the university on Friday, it had received a series of precautionary measures on the payment of tuition fees due to the increase in exchange rate.
Girne American University (GAU) Rectorate; due to the increase in exchange rate held a series of meeting to decide on the payment of tuition fees, in order to prevent the damage and nega- tions that could be imposed on the education and learning rights of the students.
It has been stated that such measures will be applied for students of Turkish and Turkish Cypriot origin in some academic periods in the coming academic year.
In the written statement made by the Rectorate of the GAU, it was stated as follows:
In accordance with the decision taken by the rector of our university: In addition to the fixed exchange rate applied in the framework of the '2018 Summer School Rules', for the students of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who will pay tuition fee for '2018-2019 Academic Year' Until August 2018, 1 Euro was fixed at 4.60 TL.
Our Rector; 2018 - 2019 Academic Year, including fall and spring semesters, again for Turkish and Turkish citizens of the TRNC, the educational expenditure of 1 Euro = 5 TL has been fixed.
